2 Bay Hoppers
The main stay of the US coal fleet for most of the century. With small coal yards in every village and town in the US this car was ideal for 50 ton loads. Some railroads ordered these in the "offset" type which would hold a little more volume of coal or gravel, sometimes sand. Still seen today but the numbers in service are dwindling in favor of larger types.
